No VAT is added, due to small company status. My certified translations are always accepted by official UK organisations.
My name is Anne Bitton, Director of The Language Corner Limited, and I am accredited by the Chartered Institute of Linguists for French to English. I have “Chartered Linguist” status. I am also a qualified teacher of Modern Languages and English and a native speaker of English, so you can be assured that your translations will be accurate and natural.
I have been translating French documents since 2009. My translations are fast, accurate and affordable. I combine careful research with thorough checking to ensure that your important document is translated properly. After approval, I certify the translation and the certificate of translation, adding my signature, the date and the company stamp (The Language Corner Limited). The typical completion time for standard one or two-page certified translations is one working day. I am often able to return small jobs on the same day.
To my knowledge, all certified translations issued by me have been accepted without question by a wide range of UK organisations, including the Home Office (Visas and Immigration), HM Passport Office, DVLA, UK register offices, HM Land Registry, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the General Medical Council (GMC), the General Dental Council (GDC), UK universities and all other official bodies. My French to English official translations are also accepted by the Australian, New Zealand and US authorities for immigration purposes.

When submitting a certified translation to an official organisation in the UK, it is very important to entrust your job to a professional translator. For example, HM Passport Office issue these guidelines:
“Make sure your translator is not a friend or relative and is registered with an official translation organisation or trade body for translators”.
